Don't forget those built in shelfs near the ceiling. Decorating the top of your cabinets or shelves that are near the cieling with dried flowers and a small string of lights is an excellent way to add some PoP to your fall decorating.  Often the space between the shelf and the ceiling is several feet. Flowers, particularly ones placed on the corner of the shelf, act as a bright visual anchor to the space.
